A room with a complete First Aid Kit along with a bed has been provided to care for minor injuries and ailments. In case of emergency, a student is referred to nearby hospital. Required medical help is provided free of charge to the students.
The college runs a cafeteria inside the campus to cater the facility of hygienic and fresh food and drink to the faculty members and the students. The college cafeteria offers a varied menu at subsidized rates. Students are welcome to give suggestions for further improvements to the convener, canteen committee.

Visually handicapped students are issued tape-recorder and blank cassettes for use.

The recognition of a student’s merit and worth is very important. This recognition works as a vital boost for the students to carry for their hard work. It instills in them a sense of confidence. The students who participate in various activities held in college or in other colleges and bring laurels to their alma mater are awarded in the form of cash prizes, momentos, college colours and appreciation certificates etc. The best Book Reading Award and Best Volunteer Award and Best Teacher Trainees Awards have been instituted to inspire and promote the values of reading and the ideas of the selfless service to society.
The students getting First, Second or Third position in the university are offered cash awards of Rs. 5100/-, Rs. 3100/-, Rs. 2100/- respectively. The students are also awarded on the basis of their performance in the House Examination.
Meritorious Girls Students Award:
Professional Higher Education is very crucial for women-empowerment. It equips girls with career competencies, leading to a secure financial standing and an apt place in the society. That’s why SBDS has introduced the meritorious girl students’ scholarship program.
Series of extension lectures on current issues are organized regularly for the students’ professional growth. Experts from various fields are invited to enlighten the students on various areas of education for innovative and research oriented knowledge.
The college has excellent hostel facilities for women with an intake capacity of 500 students. Its residents include female members of teaching faculty as well as the students of sister SBDS institutions. Scholarship & Stipends:
- Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students of Haryana: The scheme is applicable to SC students studying at post-Matric stage whose parents/guardians’ income is up to Rs. 2, 00,000/- . These scholarships are awarded by the Government by the State Government of Haryana.
- Post- Matric Stipends Scheme for OBC Students of Haryana: The Scheme is applicable to OBC students studying post matric stage whose parents/guardians income is up to Rs.44500/- These stipends are awarded by the state government
- Stipend to Physically Handicapped Students: The Department of Social Welfare, Haryana Govt. provides Stipends to the Physically Handicapped students. The college forwarded application forms of Physically Handicapped students to the District Social Welfare office, Fatehabad. The stipend is sanctioned by the social welfare Department
- College stipend to Physically Handicapped Students: College provides a stipend of Rs. 100/- per month per Students to the PH students of the college out of its own resources
“EARN WHILE YOU LEARN” Scheme:
Remuneration of Rs. 300/- per month is given to those students who are willing to work on part time basis in the office, Library or laboratory etc.
Bus passes are provided to the students pursuing regular coursed on concessional rates as notified by the Haryana Roadways. The passes are issued for distance up to a limit of 60 kms from Aherwan.
A parking stand is provided by the college for the parking of two-wheelers and four-wheelers by the staff and the students.
